The Meyerhoefer Organization

In the mid 1980’s, Dr. Frederick Meyerhoefer noticed changes coming to the practice of medicine. It was becoming less of a practice and more of a business. There were new business challenges entering the field such as contracts to be negotiated with hospitals, employees, and insurance companies. Physicians that did not notice these changes would soon find themselves left behind in a fast growing and changing medical industry.

Dr. Meyerhoefer acknowledged these changes and prepared himself by participating in courses with the American College of Physician Executives and the Health Executive Seminars at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. This coursework and 25 years of private practice experience led him to the medical consulting business in 1989 on a part-time basis.
